Gregory J. Bergquist, 36, of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at his residence.
Greg was born on Aug. 29, 1978, in Hampton, Iowa, the son of Judy (Whiting) Hansen and the late John Bergquist. The Bergquist family later moved to Hortonville, then Clintonville, where Greg graduated from high school in 1997.
Greg continued to live and work at various jobs in the Clintonville area. He was mechanically oriented and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. Playing cards and cooking (especially tator-tot casserole) were other enjoyments.
Survivors include his three children, Damon Lorge, Jacob Teall and Exeander Fletcher; mother, Judy Hansen (special friend, Wayne G. Bartz), Shawano; grandmother, Edna Whiting, Jackson, Michigan; sisters, Valerie (Louie) De Jesus, Clintonville, and Kimberly Shufelt, Seymour; brother, Kevin (Stephanie) Konopka, Naperville, Illinois; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Raymond Hansen.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville, with the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and after 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
