To the editor:
In the early 1950s Hansen Glove, of Clintonville, moved their hand-detailed gloves to Mexico. I crocheted button holes for these gloves and received 75 cents. Starting wages were 49 cents.
Our state and federal highway must all have union scale workers and pay. Double time and triple as work is needed. Union scale is breaking our America.
People can’t exist at minimum wage. There has to be a solution.
People can’t live on welfare, food stamps and subsidies.
People can’t afford their doctors and dentists. There has to be a solution.
Social Security wants to stop the program and people should buy IRAs and save for retirement. There is no money to save.
Please keep Scott Walker in office. He is doing a good job. Vote Republican.
