Gerald Arlen “Jerry Waub” Waubanascum

Gerald Arlen “Jerry Waub” Waubanascum started his journey to the Spirit World on Thursday evening, Aug. 7, 2014, in Shawano. Jerry Waub was born on Jan. 30, 1953, in Keshena, a son of the late William Sr. and Mary Ann (Waupoose) Waubanascum. He was employed as a certified caregiver in Menominee County. Jerry Waub was a member of Big Drum and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. Jerry Waub is survived by one daughter, Sawneeque “Nixi” Kuehl, of Shawano; three grandchildren, Ava, McKenna and Ethan; two brothers, Alfred (Rose) Waubanascum and William “Junior” (Kathy) Waubanascum, both of Neopit; one sister, Frances Kakwitch, Middle Village; special nephews, Aldo Waubanascum, Carl Waubanascum, Dana Madosh, Gerald Boivin Sr., Bill Waubanascum and Louis Kakwitch, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jerry Waub was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Norma Boivin, Janet Sechrist and Renita Waubanascum; and three brothers-in-law, Donald Boivin, William Sechrist and Randall Madosh. Traditional funeral services for Jerry Waub will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Ceremonial Building in Zoar. John Teller will officiate. Interment will be in the Zoar Burial Grounds. Relatives and friends may call at the Ceremonial Building in Zoar after 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, until the time of service on Sunday.
