Georgette Wilber

Georgette Bernadine (Vigue) Wilber, 71, of Keshena, danced into the arms of her loved ones in heaven on Nov. 8, 2014. She was born on Feb. 8, 1943, to George and Theadore (Lyons) Vigue. Georgette married Wilbur “Greg” Wilber on Aug. 11, 1962, and together they brought six children into the world. Georgette worked for the Menominee Indian Junior/Senior High School and the Menominee Indian School District as a bookkeeper and accounts payable clerk for 37 years until her retirement in 2008. Georgette helped revive the choir at St. Michael’s and was actively involved in the church activities throughout her life. She also enjoyed coaching volleyball while working at the Menominee Indian High School. She enjoyed going to her children’s and grandchildren’s musical events and playing cards with relatives. Georgette is survived by her children, Antoinette (Mark) Osterberg. of Green Bay, Gregory, Ann and Catherine Wilber. all of Keshena, Margaret (Tim) Wilber. of Shawano. and a special niece, Victoria “Missy” (Brian) Minch. of Shawano. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, BreAnn (Tim) Schultz, Marcus Wilber, Darrell Webster, Maia Pecore, Mark and Kayla Osterberg, Joseph Moses, Brett and James Pecore, Austin Peach, Anthony Moses, Jazzlynn Oshkosh, AshleeRose Moses; 6 great-grandchildren, Mitchell Oshkosh, Lucas Schultz, Aurora and Izabella Wilber, Kylee and Ethan Schultz; numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur “Greg” Wilber; her daughter, Marie; her eldest grandson, BradLee; her parents, George and Theadora; and her siblings, Edward, Audrey and Chantel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem, officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
