The Oconto Falls High School girls and boys track teams finished second at a Bay Conference triangular April 14 with Shawano Community High School and Luxemburg-Casco.
L-C won the boys meet with 92 points. OFHS (52) was second and Shawano (42) third.
L-C also won the girls meet. with 82 points. Oconto Falls had 76 points and Shawano 27.
The Lady Panthers notched eight victories in 18 events.
Placing first for OFHS were junior Josie Ausloos (100-meter high hurdles, 17.6 seconds), freshman Kennedy Kratz (400, 1 minute, 7.6 seconds), junior Bailey Wolf (800, 2:33.9), senior Kayla Virtues (shot put, 36 feet, 5 inches), sophomore Vicki Kozlovsky (discus, 87-5) and sophomore Maddie Kruzynski (high jump, 4-6).
The Lady Panthers also received top finishes in both the 800 relay (2:02.6) and 1,600 relay (4:35.1).
Wolf was .1 of a second behind winner Jacie Legois, of Luxemburg-Casco, in the 1,600, and senior Evy O’Harrow (13.8) fell just short of Shawano’s Onalee Siegfried (13.7) in the 100 dash.
The Panthers boys won four events: junior Sam Fletcher (100, 11.8), senior Mike Friedman (1,600, 4:43.6), senior Michael Fifield (high jump, 5-10) and the 400 relay team (47.4).
Friedman was also was 0.1 of a second from winning the 800, finishing behind Shawano’s Jake Klister (2:10.2).
