County Board, District 5 District 5 incumbent Shawano County Supervisor Sandy Steinke will face a challenge from John Granchay in Tuesday’s election. The district includes Wards 9 and 10 in the city of Shawano. Supervisors serve two-year terms. They are wasting money by continually having committee meetings and not doing anything on problems that are facing the community. Eventually something will have to be done, and it will cost more money down the road. The board had studies done and they do not follow through on what is recommended. In addition, they do not follow plans that they have agreed to in the past.
