Earl G. Lundmark, 86, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, in Shawano. Earl was born on Nov. 19, 1927, in Amery to the late Lenus and Marie (Hanson) Lundmark.
On Feb. 17, 1951, Earl was united in marriage to Patricia H. Elliott in Minneapolis. She preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 1998. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Earl enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1947-1949 and continued proudly serving his country from 1950-1954 in the U.S. Air Force. He was a 50-year member of the Shawano American Legion. Earl was the director of Shawano County Social Services for over 20 years. He served as treasurer for the Shawano Sanitation District around Shawano Lake. He was both a Green Bay Packers fan and Minnesota Vikings fan, as well as a Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Earl is survived by his children, Jeffrey Lundmark, of Shawano, Bradley (Rose Schultz) Lundmark, of Milwaukee, Ann Lundmark, of Shawano, and two grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 117. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Balsam Lake Cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
