Donovan Charles Glocke

Donovan Charles Glocke, 81, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, in Shawano. He was born on Aug. 21, 1933, in Clintonville, the son of the late Charles J. and Dorothy A. (Delaney) Glocke. Donovan graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1952 and then attended Wisconsin State Teachers College and Marquette University. While in college, he worked at the Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee. After school, he became a teacher and then principal for the Milwaukee Public School District. Donovan lived in Whitefish Bay until his retirement in 1991 and then moved back to the area. He enjoyed his time spent growing up on Shawano Lake and being an outdoorsman, hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Don is survived by his children, David (Lynn) Glocke, of Downington, Pennsylvania, and Brian (Jody) Glocke, of Grafton; four grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Nicholaus and Eric; and one brother, Robert Glocke, of Fairfield, Iowa.
