David Orlan “Dusty” Pocan, 61, of Oconto County, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at his home. Born on March 8, 1953, in Shawano, he was the son of the late Orlan and Margie (Frank) Pocan.
After living the first few years of his life in the Gresham area, Dusty and his family moved to the Milwaukee area when he was about 7 years old. He later worked several jobs in the Milwaukee area, the most recent being the maintenance supervisor for Lutheran Manor. Dusty was two weeks away from retiring.
When not at work, he loved listening to country music and Elvis. He also enjoyed attending Summerfest in Milwaukee County and loved socializing with his many friends at Tomtor’s Bar in Milwaukee.
Dusty is survived by his daughter, Shana Nagel, and a brother, Rickey (Mary) Pocan, of Underhill.
Dusty was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dan and Dale Pocan.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
