UW-Stevens Point

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point conferred degrees to 534 graduates for the fall 2025 semester.

Birnamwood: Amanda Notinokey, bachelor of science, elementary education; Amanda Notinokey, bachelor of science, wildlife ecology and management; Ray Notinokey, bachelor of science, early childhood education; Leah Schultz, bachelor of science, health information management and technology.

Ohio University

Ohio University College of Arts and Sciences (Athens, Ohio) student Charlie Nowinsky, of Eland, has been named to Ohio’s fall 2025 dean’s list.

The dean’s list recognizes undergraduate students who complete a particular semester with a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.999 with a minimum of 12 credit hours.

UW-River Falls

The following local residents were among the 305 students receiving degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls during fall commencement in December 2025.

Lena: Becca Christenson, bachelor of science, psychology.

UW-Whitewater

Ethan Ostrowski, from Hatley, earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement, held Dec. 13, 2025.

Ostrowski graduated with a master’s of business administration in business administration.

Northcentral Technical College

Officials at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau announce the president’s list for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2025 term. The following students enrolled in a post-secondary program, earned a 3.75 GPA or better and successfully completed a minimum of six credits during the spring term.

The following area students completed degree requirements at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in December.

Cecil: Julia Ann Lorbiecki, bachelor of science, psychology.

Oconto Falls: Tucker Michael Bouche, bachelor of science, elementary/middle education and special education, highest honors; Paul Franklin Langlay, bachelor of science, physics.

UW-Whitewater

Maddy Heling, of Shawano, and an entrepreneurship major at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was one of 34 students who were recognized for their performances at the 2026 Enterprise Mobility Perfect Pitch Competition on Feb. 11.

Heling’s pitch was part of the Beginner placements and earned fourth place in the competition.

A total of 225 participating students delivered a 60- to 90-second pitch that demonstrated themselves to a prospective new employer — Enterprise Mobility. Students were challenged to tell a story that was unique to them featuring two or three characteristics about themselves.
