The WRVM Christmas Concert, featuring the nationally acclaimed Southern Gospel group The Browns, is coming to the Falls Area Performing Arts Center at Oconto Falls High School. The Browns will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7.
This family group includes Shelley Brown and adult children Michaela, Adam and Andrew. Husband and dad Keith Brown doubles as bus driver and sound man.
While the Browns have been performing for about 15 years and have appeared numerous times in Wisconsin, the Dec. 7 date in Oconto Falls will be their first Christmas concert performed in northern Wisconsin.
In a recent interview, Michaela said the family did a Christmas show in Branson, Missouri, about 10 years ago with Southern Gospel vocalist Gary McSpadden, who sang with the Oak Ridge Boys and the Bill Gaither Trio. She said her family learned much from that experience. Since then, they fell in love with Christmas shows, she said.
The Browns’ Oconto Falls concert will transform the Falls PAC stage into a winter wonderland, with the performers changing into numerous Christmas costumes, such as Frosty and Rudolph.
Tickets for The Browns Christmas Concert are available at WRVM Radio. Artist Circle seats are $18; general seating tickets are $12. Group discounts are available. Tickets can be purchased online at wrvm.org, or by phone, 920-842-2900, during business hours. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the PAC, 210 N. Farm Road, Oconto Falls.
