Wittenberg-Birnamwood 62, Weyauwega-Fremont 27
The Chargers had little trouble dominating Weyauwega-Fremont in the 62-27 Central Wisconsin East Conference game.
Rory Salvesen led Wittenberg-Birnamwood with 21 points, including four 3-pointers. Harper Rogowski and Melaina Granquist each scored 14.
“Overall, I’m very pleased how we played tonight,” coach Nick Mechelke said. “Weyauwega-Fremont changed up their defense from our last game, and we adjusted really well. Our defense came to play tonight, and we made them worked for every basket. I really like how Harper Rogowski played on both sides of the floor tonight. She made some big plays.”
Rogowski led the team with seven rebounds. As a team, the Chargers had 29. Salvesen recorded a pair of assists, while Ava Brie and Rogowski each had four steals.
West De Pere 67, Shawano 51
The Phantoms’ defense held Shawano to 16 points in the first half to take a 28-16 halftime lead and never looked back.
Leah Nordin led the Hawks with 33 points.
