Book sharing is goal of Scout project

Book exchange boxes might be coming to the Oconto Falls community. At the Jan. 13 Oconto Falls City Council meeting, Aaron Gonnering is scheduled to present his Eagle Scout proposal to erect six Little Free Libraries in the community. The council meets at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 500 N. Chestnut Ave. Prior to the council’s meeting is a public hearing regarding the rezoning of 107 E. Highland Drive where Bellin Health System proposes the construction of a medical clinic. The hearing is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building and will be followed by a Planning Commission meeting at approximately 6:45 p.m. The commission is scheduled to make a zoning recommendation that will be reviewed by the City Council later that evening. The council is also scheduled to adopt general policies for tax compliance. The council will also consider applications from St. Anthony’s Parish to sell malt beverages at its annual ice fishing derby on Feb. 14 at the East Side Beach and the Sno Jokers snowmobile club to sell malt beverages at the ISR World Series of Ice Drag Racing Feb. 13-15 at the West Side Beach. Also on the agenda is an agent change application for Davinder Sooch to replace Maninder Sooch as agent for Sooch Inc., doing business as Mobil 22.
