Oostburg Tournament
Bonduel’s volleyball team went 4-0 and won the Oostburg Tournament.
In the initial rounds of pool play, Bonduel took on host Oostburg and New Holstein and defeated both of them 2-0. Set scores for Oostburg were 25-14, 25-17. Set scores for New Holstein were 25-14, 25-10.
With those two wins, Bonduel moved on to play the last two matches in the gold bracket. First playing Sheboygan Falls, Bonduel defeated them in two very close, back-and-forth sets (26-24, 26-24). Bonduel then took on Division 4 No. 1-ranked Living Word Lutheran and defeated them 2-1. Bonduel dropped the first set 19-25 but went on to win the last two 25-22 and 15-11.
Audrey Weier led with 41 kills, 49 digs and five aces. Josie Anvelink added 29 kills, 38 digs and seven aces.
Juliana Jacobs had 19 kills. Jayla Reinke was tough at the serving line with 10 aces and 34 assists on the day. Paige Niquette chipped in 45 assists, and Tatum Sporisky had 25 digs.
Bonduel moves to 23-4 overall.
Oshkosh North Invite
Pulaski went 4-1 at Oshkosh, losing the final match to Waupaca.
The Red Raiders opened play Oct. 4 with a 2-0 victory over Peshtigo.
On Oct. 5, Pulaski defeated Oshkosh North 2-1, Green Bay East 2-0 and Peshtigo 2-1. Against Waupaca, the Red Raiders lost 2-1.
Wisconsin Dells Tournament
Wittenberg-Birnamwood lost its opening match but then won the final two at Justagame Fieldhouse.
The Chargers suffered an opening 2-1 loss to De Soto. Then, they defeated Melrose-Mindoro 2-0 and Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau 2-0.
