Bonduel defeated Crandon in three straight sets: 25-8, 25-13 and 25-19.
Bonduel was led by Audrey Weier with nine kills and 11 digs. Josie Anvelink and Audrey Jacobs chipped in six kills each. Paige Niquette had 13 assists and Jayla Reinke had four aces.
Tigerton 3, Marion 0
Tigerton defeated Marion in a CWC North match. They won in three straight sets with scores of 25-8, 25-23 and 25-22.
Aaliyah Lederhaus led the Tigers with 15 digs, followed by Sienna Breaker with 12, Danika Tiller with nine, and Jade Selle and Angel Welch with eight each.
Tiller had 13 assists, while Breaker had two.
As for kills, Presley Stewart-Rolfs led with eight, Selle had five, and Lillian Welch notched four.
Breaker scored 13 service points with three aces, and Stewart-Rolfs had six points.
Tigerton is 1-0 in CWC North play and 4-2 overall.
Northland Lutheran 3, Gresham 1
Gresham fell to 1-2 overall after a 3-1 loss to Northland Lutheran. Scores were 16-25, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25.
Lexi Baddmoccosin-Barnes had 12 assists, eight kills and seven digs. Rylie Kakwitch had 10 kills and 16 digs. Janay Pecore-Kirkland sacred nine kills and 10 digs, and Kiara Cornelius had nine assists.
Aug. 31
Omro Invite
Bonduel won the Omro Invite, going 5-0 on the day.
Bonduel defeated Eastbrook Academy, Westfield and Wild Rose all 2-0 in pool play. They then went on to beat Omro in bracket play 2-0 to make it into the championship match. They ended up winning the championship match 2-1 over Saint Mary Catholic in a very close match.
Leaders for the day were Juliana Jacobs with 34 attack kills and Audrey Weier with 32 attack kills, 11 aces and 37 digs.
Jayla Reinke had 51 assists and six aces. Paige Niquette had 46 assists and seven aces. Josie Anvelink chipped in 32 digs, and Tatum Sporisky chipped in 28 digs.
Aug. 30-31
Friendship Tournament
Wittenberg-Birnamwood traveled to Wisconsin Dells for the Friendship Tournament and returned home with an overall record of 8-3.
“The Friendship Tournament is a great beginning of the season tournament,” coach Becky New said. “The girls play in many games, which allows us to see what we have to work on and what is going well for us. We definitely saw places where we need to make improvements, but overall, we had a successful weekend that gave everyone some valuable playing time.”
The Chargers opened play with a 2-0 win over Oshkosh North (25-15, 25-21) and a 2-0 win over Milwaukee School of Language (25-11, 25-18).
Following a 2-0 loss to Fall River (11-25, 23-25), Wittenberg-Birnamwood defeated Riverdale 2-0 (25-20, 25-23).
A 2-1 loss to Amherst (10-25, 25-18, 9-15) was followed by a 2-0 win over Rhinelander (25-15, 25-22) and a2-1 win over Riverdale (25-12, 22-25, 15-12).
Over the course of the two days, Kaitlin Tuskowski had 57 serving attempts with 12 aces, 33 assists and 33 digs.
Brie Ladika recorded 46 serving attempts with nine aces. Melaina Granquist had 85 hitting attempts with 26 kills and another nine block kills.
Charlie Eichman had 74 hitting attempts with 20 kills. Lily Metropulos notched 81 hitting attempts with 19 kills. She also had five block kills and 43 assists. Makayla Meronk had 41 digs.
Beast of the Northeast Tournament
Oconto Falls finished 5-2 and in 10th place in the two-day, 32-team tournament in Appleton.
On Aug. 30, the Panthers won their pool beating Ripon (25-13, 25-13), Saint Mary Springs (25-18, 25-17) and Mosinee(25-19, 25-22).
Izzy Otto had 61 assists and 13 digs. Amber Otto led the offensive attack with 30 kills. with Lucy Ripley right behind her with 27. Rylie Shallow paced the defense with 27 digs. Katelyn Kurek contributed with five kills and six aces.
On Aug. 31, Oconto Falls took third in their Challenge Bracket losing a tough match against D.C. Everest (12-25, 25-20, 18-20) and then beating Grafton (25-18, 25-21).
In the afternoon, they advanced to the four-team Gold 3 Bracket to compete for 9th-12th place.
They beat Kewaskum (25-12, 25-21) before falling to New Berlin West (16-25, 27-25, 8-15).
Izzy Otto ran the offense with 91 assists and 21 digs. Ripley led in kills with 47, followed by Amber Otto with 44 kills and 30 digs. Shallow led in digs with 33 and also added five aces on the day. Hailyn St. Louis had 19 digs and six aces.
The Panthers have an overall mark of 7-4.

Battle of the Valley
Oconto Falls Volleyball got off to a good start to the season, taking third in the Battle of the Valley.
Oconto Falls won its pool beating Little Chute (25-13, 25-9) and Chilton (25-13, 25-23), advancing to the Gold Pool.
In the Gold Pool, Oconto Falls lost to defending conference champions Fox Valley Lutheran in three sets (27-29, 25-17, 10-15). They also lost another competitive match to defending state champions,Appleton Xavier (27-29, 22-25).
Izzy Otto ran the offense and recorded 73 assists, had 24 digs, and six aces. Amber Otto tallied 36 kills, seven aces and 32 digs, followed by Lucy Ripley with 33 kills and six blocks.
Rylie Shallow led the defense with 41 digs and four aces. Ella Jahnke contributed nine kills, eight blocks and four aces.
