Bernice B. Vorpahl

Bernice B. Vorpahl, 93, of Oconto Falls, formerly of Klondike, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Sharpe Care in Oconto Falls. She was born to the late Wilbert “Bert” and Laura (Holtger) Couvillion on May 3, 1921, in Klondike. Bernice married James W. Vorpahl on April 17, 1940, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike. Bernice enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and traveling out west. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman. Surviving are three children, Sharon (Jerry) Cook, Grafton, Gary (Norene) Vorpahl, Pound, Jim (Phyllis) Vorpahl, Suamico; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, James; infant daughter, Janice; one grandson, Brian Cook; two sisters and one brother. Relatives and friends may call at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 228 E. Main St., Coleman, until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
