Bonduel’s Jen Dowden was a unanimous first-team selection, Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Micah Nier was named the player of the year and the Shawano boys soccer team had three players named first-team as the Bay and Central Wisconsin Conferences announced their all-conference teams.
Bay
Shawano soccer players Garret Schlise, Zach Dickmann and Sawyer Buck were all named Bay Conference first-team all-conference. Schlise and Dickmann were both unanimous selections.
Chance VanDyck was a second-team selection. Goalie Mike Meisner and Zack Sousek were honorable mentions.
Hortonville’s Marco Delbacchi and West De Pere’s Osvaldo Ramirez were named the Bay Conference players of the year.
Bella Gonzalez, an honorable mention, was the only member of the Shawano volleyball team to receive a conference honor.
Oconto Falls’ McKenna Larsen was named the Bay Conference player of the year.
In football, Shawano’s Brice Bergner was named second-team offense at wide receiver. Kicker Cody Urban earned honorable mention on offense. Defensive back Chase Henning was an honorable mention defense.
Cross-country runners Teagan Monfils, Jake Klister and Nick Matz all earned first-team all-conference honors based on their finishes at the Bay Conference meet. Kristy Kurtz, Austin Lhotka and Travis Geenen were second-team finishers.
Courtney Baumann was an honorable mention in girls golf.
The Shawano/Bonduel swimming team had 11 swimmers earn conference honors. Emme Quandt (200 medley relay), Alyssa Anker (200 freestyle relay), Ailysh Tetting (200 medley relay), Ali Hanson (200 freestyle relay, 100 butterfly), Malory Soper (200 freestyle relay) and Clare Martell (200 medley relay, 200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke) earned first-team honors based on their finishes in the Bay Conference meet. Anker (200 medley relay) and Hanson (200 medley relay), along with Carlie Hinnefeld (200 medley relay) and Whitney Banker (200 medley relay), were second-team selections. Hanson (50 freestyle) and Soper (500 freestyle) also earned honorable mentions.
Central Wisconsin Conference-8
In Central Wisconsin Conference-8 volleyball, Bonduel junior middle Jen Dowden earned a unanimous first-team selection. Dowden was also named first-team all-conference last season.
Wittenberg-Binamwood middle Micah Nier also earned first-team selection and was named the conference’s player of the year. Nier was joined by teammate Taylor Bushman on the first team.
Bonduel’s Lexi Reinke and Courtney Schmidt were honorable mentions. Madison Bushman and Hannah Buntrock were honorable mentions for Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Bonduel football players Jacob Wudtke and Hunter VanderLinden were first-team all-conference selections on OVERSET FOLLOWS:offense. Wudtke was also named first team defense at linebacker. VanderLinden was an honorable mention on defense at linebacker.
Danny Tauchen was named second-team offense at running back and was an honorable mention at linebacker.
Linemen Race McClone and Isiah Griesbach were honorable mentions on offense and defense. Defensive lineman John Carpenter was an honorable mention. Jacob Zeitler was an honorable mention on offense.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood defensive lineman Andrew VanAlstine and linebacker August Peplinski were named second-team defense. Center Logan Yaeger was an honorable mention on offense.
Amherst’s Garth Groshek was named defensive player of the year and Shiocton’s Jacob Van Asten was named offensive player of the year.
Central Wisconsin Conference-10
Marion/Tigerton lineman Cole Drefahl was a unanimous first-team selection on defense and a first-team selection on offense. Defensive back Tyler Marquardt and punter Clay Detert were also named first-team all-conference on offense. Marquardt was a second-team selection at wide receiver. Detert was named second-team at running back and linebacker.
Justin Miller was named second team offense at running back and defense at linebacker. Offensive lineman Woodrow Nelson was named second-team offense and was an honorable mention on defense on the defensive line. Uriah Stutzman was named second-team all-conference on the defensive line and was an honorable mention on the offensive line.
Aaron Hoffman was named second-team at defensive back.
Almond-Bancroft’s Reegan Anderson was named the offensive player of the year. Rosholt’s Caleb Bembenek was named defensive player of the year.
In volleyball, Tigerton senior setter Erin Robbins was named first-team all-conference. Teammate Emily Wendt was named second-team. Katie Watters was an honorable mention.
Bowler’s Ashlynn Brisk and Gresham’s Brittny Andrews were both honorable mentions.
Rosholt’s Alyssa Yenter repeated as the conference’s player of the year.
Bonduel cross-country runners Sam Falck, Isaac Palmer and Mallory Mews were named first-team all-conference. Travis Wollenberg, Austin Marcks and Anna Palmer were named second team. Bryce Robaidek and Abigail Palmer were honorable mentions.
