Anvelink wins Dirt Kings late model race in Shawano

Nick Anvelink won the Dirt Kings late models feature race Aug. 23 at the Shawano Speedway. He was also the winner in the first heat.

In the feature race, Anvelink was followed by Mitch McGrath, Todd Frank, Justin Ritchie and Troy Springborn.

Lukas Postl and McGrath won the other two heat races.

Jordan Bartz won the second heat in the modifieds category and then wen on to win the feature race as well.

In the feature race, he placed in front of Marcus Yarie, Jayden Schmidt, Brekken Kleinschmidt and Kevin Feck.

Derek Janke won the other heat race.

Cole Magnin won the sport modifieds feature race, followed by Jeffrey Teske, Tim Jorgenson, Tommy Rindt and Forrest Kernen.

Magnin and Travis Rhoades won the heat races.

Winning the stock car feature was Trent Nolan. Rounding out the top five were Brent Wenzel, Devin Snellenberger, Dan Michonski and Kyle Frederick.

The heat race winners were Nolan, Vern Stedjee and Yarie.

Tanner Westphal won the Mighty Fours feature, followed by Jasper Drengler, Landon Braatz, Andrew Yeager and Taylor Junk.

The heat race winners were Westphal and Junk.

The 2025 season will end Aug. 30, the championship night during the annual Shawano County Fair.
