200-plus participate in Run for the Trails

More than 200 runners and walkers participated in Run for the Trails on Sept. 28 to raise funds to establish and maintain recreational trails in the Oconto Falls area. The event, which included a timed 10K and 5K and 1-mile fun run, was organized by the Oconto Falls Area Chamber of Commerce committee of Ann Senn, Gail Yatso, Aleta Young, April Konitzer and Vicki Roberts. Senn said the event was very successful, complete with beautiful weather and a great turnout. The 10K route incorporated a nature trail on the city’s west side, a highlight of the route for many participants. Results Women’s 5K: 1. Stacy Benard 26:17.40, 2. Megan Paske 26:58.80, 3.
