Town hall meeting packed on solar farm

The Morgan Town Hall had standing room only Oct. 7 for a special meeting about the Fox Solar Project.

Fox Solar Project is the proposal of Florida-based developer NextEra Energy. The project would consist of a 100-megawatt solar farm and 50-megawatt battery facility on 648.9 acres of land near CCC Road and County Road C.

VFW targets Veterans Day grand opening

Shawano’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2723 is aiming for a Veterans Day grand opening of its new facility, following a groundbreaking ceremony held in May.

The new post, located at South Olson and East Richmond streets, is expected to be completed by Nov. 11 with a a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

Writer tries to bring life to cold case

Walking for the homeless
