Narveson wins kicking job in Green Bay
The Green Bay Packers will have a new face heading the special teams unit this year, rookie kicker Brayden Narveson. Last offseason, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst made Anders Carlson the 207th pick in the NFL Draft. Immediately stepping into the starting kicker role, Carlson converted on 27-of-33 attempts, while making 34-of-39 extra point attempts.
Willis preparing for new role in Green Bay
In a surprise move, the Green Bay Packers released their prospective No. 2 and No. 3 quarterbacks and traded for Malik Willis of the Tennessee Titans to serve as the backup to Jordan Love this season. “Very grateful for the organization — both Tennessee and Green Bay — for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level,” Willis said.

Packers Offense vs. Eagles Defense The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense helped lead them to the Super Bowl during the 2022 season. Their pass rush was vicious, as they set the team record for sacks that year. Last year saw the defense fall apart down the stretch. The Packers and general manager Brian Gutekunst live by the adage and philosophy of it being better to move on a year early instead of a year too late. That’s why Davante Adams was traded.
Bakhtiari placed on IR
The Green Bay Packers have placed tackle David Bakhtiari on injured reserve, signed linebacker Kristian Welch to the active roster from the practice squad and elevated cornerback Corey Ballentine and cornerback Kiondre Thomas from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday.
