With Thanksgiving right around the corner, Shawano’s Santa Parade isn’t far behind.

The annual event, sponsored by Charlie’s County Market, will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 5.

Aspirus Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin (Anthem) have reached a new, multi-year agreement providing Anthem members with uninterrupted access to care at all Aspirus Health facilities and physician offices in Wisconsin.

When Congress earlier this month passed the bill to end the government shutdown, members also agreed to language that effectively bans most hemp-derived THC products nationwide.

Kayla Moon, founder and CEO of Happy Trails Medicinals, which has stores in Green Bay, Appleton and Shawano, said the law could prove to be disastrous to the industry.

Shawano County Sheriff George Lenzner was among 10 Wisconsin sheriffs who endorsed U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany for Wisconsin’s next governor.

“I have said from the start that restoring safe streets for every Wisconsinite is a pillar of my campaign, and it is an honor to earn the endorsement of these 10 sheriffs,” Tiffany said.

Bohm, 41, Gresham, pleaded no contest Nov. 17 to possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), seven counts of felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor charges of two counts of battery and three counts of disorderly conduct. Judge Katherine Sloma withheld sentencing and placed her on three years of probation with conditions.
