• Taythin T. Inrasavongsa, 23, Little Suamico, pleaded no contest March 18 to a misdemeanor charge of taking and driving a vehicle without consent. The charge was amended from a felony in a plea agreement. Judge Michael Judge sentenced him to two months in county jail with Huber work-release and good time privileges.

The Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association (WLWCA) has recognized two Shawano County employees as recipients of its 2026 Conservation Awards, honoring individuals and families who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to Wisconsin’s land, water, and natural resources.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation has revealed more details regarding an officer-involved death that occurred March 10 in the Town of Green Valley.

Matt Hietpas, technology services director, said Shawano County needs to review all of its tech services policies, as many have not been updated for several years.

“It’s time to review everything,” he said. “This includes things like disaster recovery, computer use and AI.”
