Wilma E. Zernicke

Wilma E. Zernicke, 90, of Bonduel, passed away on July 31, 2015. Wilma was born in Shawano to Louis and Alma (Westphal) Dahms. Wilma married George Zernicke on Oct. 26, 1946. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the altar guild. Wilma also was a board member for the Shawano County Housing Authority, village clerk-treasurer of Bonduel from 1975 to 1991, and active in the Bonduel Women’s Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, quilting and playing cards with friends, especially 500 and bridge. Wilma is survived by three daughters, Kathryn (Kelly) Clark, of Milwaukee, Mary (Greg) Roggeman, of Madison, and Lisa Zernicke, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sons, Tom (Betsy) Zernicke, of Shawano, and Dave (Sue) Zernicke, of Green Bay. She is further survived by six grandchildren, Teresa (Christoph Angerer) Clark, Allison Clark, Rhea, Blake (Liz) and Renee Zernicke, and Jacob Zernicke; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Barbara Callaway. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George, and brother, Leslie Dahms. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at St Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
