Troy Douglas Piotrowski, 53, died at 4:09 a.m. on July 23, 2024.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1970. He had a long battle with heart disease, diabetes and eventually liver failure.
He graduated from Mosinee High School, where he played basketball. He loved sports all his life. He played on pool leagues up until his last few months. He loved hunting and fishing.
He worked construction after high school, but when around 19 years old, he bought a dump truck and a splitting maul and started Troy’s Stone Company. As the business grew, he incorporated it into Glacier Stone and owned his own stone quarry.
He was proceeded in death by his significant other, of 20 years, Donna Gottung.
He leaves behind his stepdaughter, Jessica Boggs, and three step-grandchildren, Stanley, Nash and Charlie; his father, Gerald Piotrowski, and mother, Carol Piotrowski Albert (Tom); two brothers, Kurt Allen Piotrowski (Renee) and Kim James Piotrowski (Kimberly); two nieces, Marquise Tomajcik (Eric) and Zelda Piotrowski; and two nephews, Elijah Piotrowski and Wesly Piotrowski (Sarah).
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at Schmidt and Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg.
