Division 2 Winneconne Regional

Menominee Nation/Gresham advanced to the sectional round of Division 2 golf after placing third with a 331 at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne.

Shawano finished seventh at 345, and Wittenberg-Birnamwood was 10th at 355.

Scoring for the Eagles were Allex Mahl at 78, Gabe Boivin and Pepeakechiseah Cleveland each at 84, and Elliott Penass at 85.

For the Hawks, Duane Gristeau-Blanche had an 80; he will advance to sectionals as an individual golfer. Also, Levi Anobong had 85, and Brayden Mead and T.J. Smith each had 90.

Scoring for the Chargers were Roman Johnson at 84, George Seegmiller at 85, Nicholas Flak at 91 and Grant Hanson at 95.

“We posted our best score of the season and unfortunately finished second to last,” said Chris Bartletti, Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s golf coach. “The course and conditions were set up to go low, and teams and players did. (A) 296 by Winneconne is rare air, as is 300 by Xavier.

“George and Roman were on the cutline with three to play, but it didn’t pan out. We will miss all our seniors. George has been a huge part of our team for the past four years. Nick is a three-year player, and Grant has steadily gotten better every year, every meet. We will need Roman to get to the next level of breaking 80 and our underclassmen to commit to playing more regularly.”

Division 2 Luxemburg-Casco Regional

Oconto Falls as a team advanced to sectional action after placing third with a 344 at Northbrook Golf & Grill in Luxemburg.

Sophomore Dylan Clark had the second-best score, a 76. He was joined by senior Carson McDermid at 86, sophomore Brock McDermid at 89 and freshman Nick Schroeder at 93.

Division 3 Marion Regional

The Mustangs placed second when they hosted regional play at J&B Clover Greens Golf Course.

Marion finished second at 331 and will advance as a team to sectional action.

Scoring for the Mustangs were Elijah Scheef and Javen Prickette each at 80, Collin Grogan at 83 and James Nolan at 88.

Lena placed sixth at 361. Cooper Demmith scored 81 and will advance as an individual golfer. Also scoring for Lena were Tanner Behnke at 83, Colt Miller at 95 and Brayden Graef at 102.

Bonduel was ninth at 373. Golfers were Cameron Schroeder with 89, Joseph Felhofer with 90, Aiden Hillsberg with 93 and Cory Wussow with 101.
