SNBT receives fiduciary certification

The Stephenson National Bank & Trust has been certified by the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence LLC as Investment Advisor for Fiduciary Excellence. No other financial institution in Wisconsin holds the CEFEX certification. To receive such a notation, a fiduciary must show it is responsible for managing a client’s overall investment strategy, which may include deciding on the client’s asset allocation, developing the client’s investment strategy, implementing the strategy with appropriate investment managers and monitoring the strategy on a one-time or ongoing basis. “SNBT went through a rigorous process to gain this certification,” said Greg Salmen, SNBT executive vice president and trust manager. “A CEFEX analyst worked directly with Kadie Truitt, assistant vice president and trust officer, to conduct a review of our investment process and fiduciary standards.
