Shawano 13, Menasha 3
The Hawks bounced back from an earlier loss to Menasha to declare victory 13-3 at home.
Shawano bookended their scoring with six runs in the first inning and seven in the fifth. Menasha scored once in the fourth and twice in the fifth.
Leading hitters were Crew Weisnicht, who went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, Carsen Herm hit 2-for-4, and Tom Keszo was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Pete Bruette also had a double.
Dylan Hodkiewicz got the win on mound, pitching 4 2/3 innings and giving up four hits and three runs, while walking two and striking out one.
Shawano improved to 8-6.
Little Chute 2, Oconto Falls 1
Cole Bozile hit 1-for-3 and scored the only run for Oconto Falls in the Panthers’ 2-1 loss to Little Chute.
Luke Gilbertson also hit 1-for-3 and had the team’s RBI. A third batter, Easton Engel, also hit 1-for-3.
Pittsville 5, Bonduel 0
Pittsville scored a run in the first inning and made it stand up as the winning run in a 5-0 win at Bonduel.
Pittsville broke open a close game with three runs in the seventh. The Bears had runners on base early but couldn’t bring them in.
Six Bonduel players had hits in the game.
Logan Zickert threw a complete game for the win and also contributed 2 hits.
Noah Weier took the loss on the mound, pitching two innings, giving up one run on four hits while striking out four and walking one.
Daryn Luther homered for Pittsville.
Bonduel’s record falls to 10-3.
