Sharon L. Christenson, 73, of Suring, passed away on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, surrounded by her family at Meadowbrook in Oconto Falls. Sharon was born on January 28, 1948, to the late August and Emily (Liesner) Fischer. She graduated from Suring High School with the Class of 1966. Sharon worked at Mirro Aluminum, Elliot Glove, Tousey Manufacturing, Nu-Line Industries and Wausaukee Composites. She also enjoyed cleaning homes of local elderly residents. Some of Sharon’s favorite things to do included playing cards with family and friends, especially Canasta, fishing with her son, singing at local events, spending time with her grandchildren, and babysitting the family dogs.
Sharon is survived by her son, Chad (Jodi) Christenson; her special niece, whom she thought of more as her daughter, Joy (Jeff) Tolzman; three grandchildren, Reshina (Zach) Johnson, Hunter Christenson and Rebecca Christenson; great-granddaughter, Kensley Johnson. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Joyce School, Shirley Wians and Mary Jane Frank; three brothers-in-law, Arlen Wians, Eugene “Hawk” School and Robert Frank; her step-father, Clarence Thielke.
There will be no funeral service as that was Sharon’s wishes. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.
