Rainbow House recently announced the hire of youth advocate Shannon Sexton to serve Marinette and Oconto counties.
The Escanaba, Michigan, native earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie. She was the captain of her hockey team and an active member of the honor society Psi Chi.
Sexton has more than five years of experience working in substance abuse prevention, including positions with Chippewa County Probation and Parole and Great Lakes Recovery Center. Sexton will visit schools to present curriculum related to domestic violence and teen dating.
