Sean Lawrence Checora, 20, of Keshena, died on June 14, 2015, in Fort Duchesne, Utah.
Sean was born March 23, 1995, in Shawano, the son of Leslie Rose Tourtillott and Alfred Scott Checora. Sean was outgoing, happy and always smiling. He loved his family and spending time with his friends. Sean enjoyed going in the woods with his papa, playing soccer and baseball. Sean was looking forward to attending welding school.
He is survived by his mother, Leslie Rose Tourtillott; dad, Warren Kakwitch Jr.; grandmother, Annette Miller; great-grandparents, Bernard and Josie Tourtillott who all helped raise him; his brothers, Warren Kakwitch III and Waylon Corn; godchild, Coltyn Clay Kaquatosh; aunts and uncles, Leah, Dustin, Tina and special Aunt Ann Spencer. He is further survived by his father, Alfie (Kristella Pike) Checora, West Valley City, Utah; brothers, Cainan, Keanu, Thomas, Emerson, Jordan, Deondre, Alfred Checora IV and Damian; great-grandmother, Pauline Ignacio; grandparents, Sharrane, Bobby Cuch; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alex Shawn Dixon, Alfred Checora Sr. and Alfred Checora II; aunts and uncles, Ruth, Peter, Rae Tourtillott, Sylvester, Roscoe, Isiah Checora; and grandmother, Emma Lou Cuch.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Neopit. Visitation will be held at his home, W2682 Chief Iometah Court, Warrington Addition, Keshena after 4 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 until the procession leaves for the church. Parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, at his home.
