It looks like the heat and humidity took its toll on scheduled Dairyland League baseball games June 20 and June 22, as results from only one of seven scheduled games were reported.
A full slate of games are slated for June 27-29.

June 22
Bonduel 9, Nichols 1
Nichols took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but Bonduel’s pitchers held the Nitros scoreless the rest of the way.
The Broncos answered with three runs in the bottom of the second.
Cade Johnson allowed five hits and one run and struck out nine batters over six innings to get the win on the mound. Mason Patz took the loss for the Nitros.
Jack Reinke and Johnson had three of Bonduel’s 12 hits, while Noah Beier added two.
Jason Vandenlang, Will Debrune and Lucas Leisgang had two hits for Nichols.
Bonduel also took advantage of eight walks.
