The Memorial Day weekend meant Dairyland League baseball games were played May 21 or May 22 instead of May 24.
Pulaski and Bonduel picked up wins over Cecil and Hofa Park, respectively, May 22, while Navarino defeated Marinette on May 21. Hortonville also hosted Shawano on May 22, but a final score was not reported.
Pulaski 5, Cecil 2 (12 innings)
The Reds came up with three runs in the top of the 12th inning before holding the host Mudhens scoreless in the bottom of the frame.
Pulaski opened the scoring in the second inning on Lane Whiting’s two-run home run over the center field fence.
Cecil tied the game in the seventh inning, and the teams headed to extra innings knotted at 2-2.
Pulaski broke the tie in the 12th inning on a Reese Berg single, Brandon Black’s sacrifice fly and a run-scoring error.
Logan Brabant kept Cecil scorerless in the 12th inning and ended up with the win on the mound.
Bonduel 9, Hofa Park 1
The Broncos improved to 3-0 in league play with a win over the Panthers.
Winning pitcher Jeff Thielke gave up one hit over six innings and struck out 14 batters.
Easton Reinke led Bonduel at the plate with three hits and four RBIs, while teammate Jacob Reinke added two hits and scored twice. Adam Front had two hits, a pair of RBIs and scored twice and Noah Weier added two RBIs.
Navarino 13, Marinette 3
Navarino hosted Marinette May 21 and handed the Redbirds a 10-run loss.
