Panthers shut out in finale The Oconto Falls High School football team lost to Seymour 46-0 in a Bay Conference game Friday in Oconto Falls. The Panthers (0-8, 0-8 Bay) fell behind 39-0 in the first half, but held the Thunder (7-2, 6-2 Bay) to a touchdown in the second half. Panthers quarterback Samuel Konitzer was four for nine for 55 yards and had two interceptions. Tyler Kowalczyk rushed 12 times for 20 yards. ^ Eagles blanked in Peshtigo The Suring High School football team lost to Peshtigo 21-0 in a Marinette & Oconto Conference game Friday in Peshtigo. The Eagles (3-6, 2-5 M&O) fell behind 7-0 in the first half on a 51-yard touchdown from Peshtigo quarterback Dakota Keller to Jake Romenesko. Peshtigo scored two rushing touchdowns in the second quarter to go up 21-0. ^ Titans fall to Wausaukee The Lena/STAA high school football team lost its season finale 46-16 to Wausaukee on Friday in Wausaukee. Kiefer Powers was one for five for 45 yards for Lena/STAA (1-8, 1-6 M&O). He also rushed 11 times for 100 yards. Beau DeLaet had 142 yards on nine carries for Wausaukee (3-5-1, 3-4 M&O). ^ Gillett loses to Peshtigo The Gillett Secondary School volleyball team lost to Peshtigo in three sets Thursday in Gillett. Gillett lost 25-17, 25-17, 25-13. Brianna Lemirande and Taylor Kohls had 11 kills each. Lemirande also had eight digs, two assists and a block. Jessica Anderson had 21 assists, eight kills and two digs. ^ Suring tops Wausaukee The Suring High School volleyball team won in four games against Wausaukee in a Marinette & Oconto Conference match Oct. 15 in Wausaukee. Suring won, 25-16, lost 23-25, then won the final two games 25-23, 25-11. Breanna Tienor had 12 assists and two digs. Calley VanBellinger had 15 kills, one ace and six digs. MacKenzi LaMarre had 12 digs an an ace.
