Patricia L. Petrich, 88, a resident of the Luther Home in Marinette, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 31, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 23, 1936, to Joseph and Cecelia (Fisher) Eland in Menominee, Michigan, where she spent her early life. She graduated from Menominee High School and resided in the Marinette-Menominee area until moving to Gillett in 1982 upon her marriage to Merlin “Manny” Petrich. Patsy was employed part time until fully retiring in her 70s. She always had a love for children and over the years did volunteer work in schools.
She is survived by her children, Clifford (Mary Ann) Greenwood, Michael (Suzanne) Greenwood, Thomas (Wendy) Greenwood, Tina Bunting, Cynthia (Vernon) Fry, John (Lori) Greenwood, and daughter-in-law, Mary Greenwood; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Janice Gibault and Gwendolyn Gabriel; and a brother, Clair Eland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin “Manny” Petrich; former husband Howard Greenwood Sr.; a son, Howard Greenwood; a son-in-law, David Bunting; a great-grandson, Robert Presti III; brothers, Bernard and Joseph Eland; and sisters, Carol Cardin and Darlene Jackson.
Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette beginning at 4 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Gresham.
