The Oconto Falls High School Class of 1957 celebrated its 58th class reunion, Sunday, Sept. 20, with the Class of 1956 at Romy’s Holiday Inn, Kelly Lake. Masters of ceremonies were Roger Van Haren, Class of 1957, and Russell Walske, Class of 1956.
Deceased class members names were read with a moment of silence.
Teachers in attendance were Coach Romie and Dorothy Kosnar, Green Bay, and Pat and Peg Docter, Little Suamico. Class adviser Vernon Martzke was unable to attend.
Traveling from out of state were Edna Wenski McDaniel, Harlan, Kentucky; Leo Gauthier, La Palma, California; Donna Birr Jacobson, Kansas City, Missouri; and Joyce Lartz Proper, Lake Villa, Illinois. Missing from the photo but attending was Betty Gorman Miller.
The Class of 1957 will no longer have scheduled reunions, but visitations will be held each year on the second Wednesday of August. Classmates will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the Oconto Falls High School parking lot. The committee will schedule an afternoon event which will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016. Class members are asked to mark their calendars. Invitations will be sent via email.
