Proceedings from May 29 A plea hearing was held for Ronald A. McDowell Jr., 26, Green Bay. He pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of possession of THC (second offense), which allegedly occurred Oct. 11 in Abrams. A 1,500 signature bond continues. A sentence hearing is July 22. A plea hearing was held for Lazaro A. Sanchez-Orama, 28, Oconto, on a felony charge of substantial battery and misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred April 20 and June 10 in Oconto. A $100,000 cash bond continues. A sentence hearing is July 23. Proceedings from May 28 An initial appearance was held for Robert R. Olson, 47, Oconto Falls, on felony charges of strangulation and suffocation (three counts) and four misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred May 26 in Oconto Falls. The court set a $500 cash bond. A continued initial appearance is June 11. Proceedings from May 27 An initial appearance was held for Dion E. Lawrence, 17, Oconto on felony charges of battery to a school district officer and three misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred March 23 in Oconto Falls. The court set a $2,500 cash bond if arrangements can be made with his parents. A continued initial appearance/status conference is June 11. Proceedings from May 26 A sentencing was held for Jesse A. Kropp, 28, Wausau, on felony charges of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle Aug. 3 in Townsend. He was sentenced to one year of incarceration and five years of extended supervision. He was also credited with one year of incarceration. A charge of knowingly operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license (causing death) was read in and dismissed by court, along with any citations. He was ordered to pay restitution of $8,028, and his driver’s license was revoked one year. He must successfully complete all assessments and follow-through required by the Department of Corrections, complete alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and treatment and maintain absolute sobriety. A sentencing was held for Dana G. Galske, 45, Oconto Falls, who pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of OWI (fifth or sixth offense with passenger under 16) on Sept. 26, 2014, in Oconto Falls. He was sentenced to five years of incarceration and three years extended supervision. His driver’s license is revoked 36 months, with a 36-month ignition interlock system added to vehicles. He lost six demerit points. He must successfully complete AODA assessment and treatment and maintain absolute sobriety. All other counts and citations were dismissed. An initial appearance was held for Daniel T. Sellen, 36, Peshtigo, on a felony charge of aggravated battery (domestic abuse) and a misdemeanor charge, which allegedly occurred May 12 in Oconto. The court set a $10,000 cash bond . A continued initial appearance is June 11. An initial appearance was held for Colton J. Hancock, 22, Dubuque, Iowa, on felony charges of burglary to a building or dwelling (party to a crime), taking and driving a vehicle without consent (party to a crime) and two misdemeanor charges, which allegedly occurred March 11 in Little Suamico. The court set a $25,000 cash bond. An arraignment is July 9. Proceedings from May 22 A plea hearing was held for Trinity N. Steinhoff, 16, Peshtigo. She pleaded no contest to felony charges of operator fleeing/eluding an officer - bodily harm or property damage, and taking and driving a vehicle without consent (party to a crime) Feb. 17 in Oconto. No pleas were entered on second -degree reckless endangering safety or two misdemeanors. The court revoked a $15,000 cash bond. A Marinette County case will be read in, and restitution will be ordered. A hearing is scheduled July 10.
