A plea hearing was held for Sterling L. Soman, 20, Wabeno. He pleaded no contest to felony charges of vehicle operator fleeing and eluding an officer and bail jumping March 30 in Maple Valley. Charges of possession of THC (second-plus offense), a forfeiture and two misdemeanors were read in and dismissed by the court. A $10,000 cash bond continues. Sentencing is Aug. 19.
Proceedings from June 30
A waiver preliminary hearing arraignment was held for John J. Osmond, 32, Oconto. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of possession of THC (second-plus offense) and a misdemeanor charge from April 8 in Oconto. The court set a $200 cash bond. A pretrial conference is Aug. 13.
A waiver preliminary hearing/plea hearing was held for Savannah R. Martin, 16, Laona. She pleaded no contest to felony charges of bail jumping (April 15), operator fleeing and eluding officer-great harm, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing injury, knowingly operating while suspended (cause great bodily harm) and two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety on Nov. 29 and 30 in Townsend. A $15,000 cash bond continues. Sentencing is Aug. 17.
Proceedings from June 29
An arraignment was held for Patrick J. Ragen, 60, Oconto. He pleaded not guilty to felony charges of public assistance fraud/benefits, which allegedly occurred April 1, 2012, through Jan. 31, 2014, in Oconto. A $2,500 signature bond continues. A status conference/plea hearing is Aug. 7.
An arraignment/status conference was held for Rodney G. Enneper, 45, Oconto, on 13 felony charges: child enticement-sexual contact (four counts), first-degree sexual assault of a child under 12, first-degree sexual contact with a person under the age of 13 (two counts) and second-degree sexual assault of a child (six counts), which allegedly occurred from 2005-2014 in Oconto County. A $250,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment/status conference will be rescheduled when he gets new counsel.
A waiver preliminary hearing was held for Jacob W. Oestreich, 26, Oconto Falls, on felony charges of OWI (fourth within five years) and operating with prohibited alcohol concentration (fourth within five years), which allegedly occurred Jan. 27 in Oconto Falls. A $750 cash bond continues. An arraignment is July 13.
A waiver preliminary hearing/arraignment was held for Brad A. Miller, 38, Pulaski, on a felony charge of strangulation and suffocation (domestic abuse) and two misdemeanor charges April 10 in Oconto. The court set a $5,000 cash bond. A pretrial conference is July 10.
