Reckless endangerment A Marion man charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated also faces a felony charge of recklessly endangering safety for allegedly driving the wrong way during the incident. Kyle M. Schwan, 27, could face a maximum 10 years in prison and $25,000 fine if convicted on the felony charge. According to the criminal complaint, Schwan nearly collided with a Shawano County sheriff’s deputy in the town of Herman during the early hours of June 1. The deputy was eastbound on state Highway 29 when he saw a vehicle with only one working headlight coming westbound toward him in the eastbound lanes, according to the criminal complaint. The deputy turned around to pursue the vehicle, which had gone into a ditch by the time he caught up with it. Schwan is scheduled for an initial appearance in Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court on July 22. Auto theft, reckless endangerment A Gresham man has been charged with felony counts of auto theft and reckless endangerment in connection with an alleged incident in the village in March. Richard A. Tourtillott, 23, is accused of stealing a truck on Bartelt Street on March 11. The criminal complaint also accuses him of endangering safety of the truck owner and the owner’s father when they attempted to stop him. The complaint states one of the men was nearly run over by the truck and the other was dragged a short distance while holding the door handle. The vehicle was later found crashed on Upper Lake Road. Several vehicles were reportedly struck during the incident, according to the complaint. Tourtillott could face a maximum 10 years in prison and $25,000 fine if convicted of recklessly endangering safety, and a maximum six years and $10,000 for auto theft. He is due in court for an initial appearance Monday. Possession with intent to deliver A Keshena man pulled over in the town of Wescott on July 4 is facing a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver marijuana after several baggies of the drug were allegedly found in his vehicle. Adam J. White, 25, was pulled over by Shawano County sheriff’s deputies on Lake Drive for having an excessively loud muffler, according to the criminal complaint. The complaint states deputies smelled marijuana in the vehicle and brought in the K9 unit. According to the complaint, authorities found 40 grams of marijuana in the vehicle, along with a scale and marijuana pipe. White could face a maximum 3 1/2 years in prison and $10,000 fine if convicted of possession with intent to deliver marijuana. He is also charged with a felony count of second or subsequent possession, which carries the same possible penalty, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. White was being held on a $500 cash bond and was scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 22.
