Bonduel High School’s Mallory Mews placed first Tuesday at the Chargers Invitational at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.
Mews finished with a time of 16 minutes, 44 seconds, just ahead of Shawano Community High School’s Teagan Monfils (17:00).
Amherst (79) won the meet, followed by Iola-Scandinavia (95), Bonduel (101) and Shawano (128).
Wittenberg-Birnamwood (144) finished sixth and was led by Alexis Balliett, who finished eighth with a time fo 18:03.
In the boys meet, Shawano’s Jake Klister finished in second with a time of 18:07, behind Antigo’s Colin Koss (18:00).
Little Chute (41) won the event, followed by Antigo (71) and Shawano (75).
Isaac Palmer finished fourth with time of 18:24 for fourth-place Bonduel (107).
Fifth-place Wittenberg-Birnamwood (168) was led by Dustin Tomson’s 18th-place finish.
