June R. Buchberger

June R. Buchberger, 75, of Clintonville, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 27, 2013, at the Appleton Medical Center. June was born on May 29, 1938, in Clintonville, the daughter of the late Herman and Alma (Schoeneck) Ebert. June lived her entire life in Clintonville, where she graduated from high school in 1955. On June 6, 1959, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Buchberger at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. As a member of St. Martin she was involved with the Ladies Aid, was a greeter, and served in many other areas where needed. June worked as a receptionist and secretary for many localbusinesses, including Atlas Conveyor, FWD Seagrave, St. Martin Lutheran Church, Midway Tea Room, Clintonville Community Clinic, and retired from Walker Forge in 2004. She enjoyed watching nearly any high school sporting event, the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers. June loved listening to polka music and going to the Caroline Ballroom. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid bowler. June always looked forward to the Wisconsin Lutheran Bowling Tournament and is in the Clintonville and Shawano Bowling Hall of Fame. Of course, anyone who knew June could attest to her baking skills as she often shared her treats with friends in the community. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Kenneth; two daughters, Denise Buchberger, Clintonville, and Brenda Buchberger, Greenville; a brother, Lawrence (Jackie) Ebert, Elcho; a brother-in-law, Roger (June) Buchberger, Whitehall, Mich.; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Ruth Ann, in infancy. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with the Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment followed at the St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery, also in Clintonville. Friends called at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the service.
