Shawano Community Middle School
SCMS will have parent-teacher conferences from 3:30-6:45 p.m. Thursday. Parents are encouraged to stop in and see how their students are doing, both academically and socially. Parent involvement is very important in the lives of students this age, and we hope to see most, if not all, of you there. Please try to keep your meetings with each teacher between five and 10 minutes. You may have valuable information for teachers as to how your students learn, and we would love to hear it.
Communication is very important to us here at SCMS. We have information on our website (www.shawanoschools.com) about academics, sports, concerts and parades, testing and everything that happens here at SCMS. We also send the weekly BUZZ home for communication (and it is also online), and hope that you have been keeping up with all of the exciting happenings here at school! If you ever have any questions, we welcome you to either call or stop in to the school to get the correct information.
Olga Brener Intermediate School
On Sept. 21, R & S Motorsports held a fundraiser for Olga Brener Intermediate School. For every test drive of an ATV, UTV and RZR, R & S donated $10. In addition there were brats, burgers, hot dogs for sale, along with candy and popcorn from Old Glory Candy of Shawano. All money from sales of food and test drives totaled $566 and will be put toward our Showcase of Colors that will be held in March. Thank you to these local businesses for showing their support for our school.
