Freshman Maddy Pietz won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and ran on the winning 4x400 relay team to lead the Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School girls track and field team to the WIAA Division 2 sectional championship Friday in Amery.
Pietz also finished second in the long jump.
The Witt-Birn boys placed 24th.
