Lorraine “Lola” M. Boivin, 86, of De Pere, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, in Green
Bay.
Lorraine was born on Aug. 22, 1928, in Keshena, the daughter of the late Henry and
Grace (Grignon) Martin. On Sept. 13, 1947, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena,
she was united in marriage to Phillip Boivin. Phillip preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1993.
Lorraine enjoyed being a foster parent and caring for her siblings. She also loved playing bingo
and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by her three children, Audrey (Mike) Long, of Keshena, Michael (Wanda)
Boivin, of Green Bay, and Laletta Boivin, of Michigan; four sisters, Augustine “Cerie” Lloyd, of
Coos Bay, Oregon, Frances “Jeannie” Pyawasay, of Shawano, Clara “Dolly” Stone, of Keshena,
and Grace “Jiggs” Martin, of Keshena. She is further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; one daughter, Elizabeth; her parents; two
brothers, Wayne and Franklin “John Dee”; and one sister, Theresa A. Martin.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at St. Michael Catholic
Church in Keshena with the Rev. David McElroy, O.Praem, officiating. Visitation was held on
Monday, June 15, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano and
again at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A parish wake
service was held at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
