Rainy weather didn’t dampen the early attendance or enthusiasm at the Jumpin’ June Jamboree in downtown Shawano on Saturday.
There were plenty of activities available to entertain the crowds before the heavy rain fell.
Old cars lined the south 100 block of Main Street for the annual car show. Owners merrily talked with visitors interested in the vehicles, as others just admired the vehicles’ classic lines.
Trophies were awarded to car show winners in several categories: People’s Choice, Jim VanZeeland, 2013 Chevy Camaro; Mayor’s Choice, Jack Bonham, 1941 Packard 120; Antique Class, Gerald Bartline, 1930 Ford Model A Coupe; Classic Class, Al Kuck, 1933 Plymouth PD Coupe; Muscle Class, Chuck Dallas, 1977 Pontiac Trans Am.
Meanwhile, live music in the middle of Main Street kept everyone entertained. Craft booths lined Division Street. Kids games and a wide variety of food also were available.
Kruzickis Kemo Kritters showed two alpacas. The alpacas, owned by Josie and Dennis Kruzicki, of Bear Creek, were displayed, along with several alpaca items such as gloves and socks.
