Justine Spiros, 87, of Shawano, died on July 21, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. She was born Justine Alberta Parnell on Nov. 5, 1927, in Lafayette, Indiana, to John and Mable Parnell.
For most of her adult life, Justine worked as a businesswoman, who ran or owned businesses in Cleveland, Ohio, Milwaukee and Chicago. In 1991, she relocated her business, J.D. Medical Products, to Bonduel. In Bonduel, she had the opportunity to work alongside her elder daughter, Kathy, and with her son, Jeff, in the family business. After selling her business, she retired and moved to Shawano.
While living in the area she was a member of the warm, welcoming church community of Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel. She served a number of years as a member of the Bonduel High School scholarship committee and volunteered for the Shawano Hospital’s Women’s Auxiliary.
Justine was a talented quilter and enjoyed making quilts for family members and charitable auctions. She loved her family and took frequent trips around the United States visiting them.
Justine is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Dan) Weidner, of Bonduel, and Sandie (Bob) Chester, of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter-in-law, Charlene Wilson, of Tucson, Arizona; three stepchildren , Tom Spiros, Karen Spyropoulos and Lori Spiros, all of Milwaukee; a sister, Dolores Boling, of Cleveland; and a sister-in- law, Nancy Parnell, of Frasier, Michigan. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Michelle (Phil) Nealey, Stacey (Chad) McHugh, Jane Weidner, Sue Weidner and Maribeth Weidner; four stepgrandchildren, Chris Pozo, Chamaine Pozo, Chris Spiros and Katie Spyropoulos; and six great-grandchildren, Owen and Vivienne Nealey, Madison, Jack and Chandler McHugh, and Brody Pozo.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Giblin, Alan Wilson and Pete Spiros; her brothers, Delano and John Parnell; her half sister, Margaret Farrell; her infant son, Jeffery; her son, Jeffrey Alan Wilson.
According to her wishes, there will be no public funeral service, only cremation and a family-only remembrance.
Anyone wishing to make a memorial gesture may make a donation in Justine’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Justine will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
