The Shawano City-County Library will offer several helpful and entertaining free programs during September.
Children’s story times return with Baby & Me at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Story Time at 10 a.m. Wednesdays, Gather ‘Round at 10 a.m. Thursdays and Read to a Dog from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 19.
Teen Tuesdays continue from 3-5 p.m.; teens may drop in at any point to take part in fun activities and snacks. September programs will feature Draw Bot, Split the Uprights, National Cream-filled Doughnut Day, HoHo Monsters and Pop Box Pencil Case.
Adult programs include Needles ‘R Us every Friday at 9 a.m. DIY Crafts & More will focus on harvest and preserve garden herbs from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 28.
The Learning Lab will be very busy with several new classes. The schedule is Borrowing eBooks at 9 a.m. Sept. 3; Gmail at 9 a.m. Sept. 8; iPad Basics at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8; Facebook at 9 a.m. Sept. 10; Pinterest at 9 a.m. Sept. 16; Google Docs at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16; InfoSoup’s My Account at 9 a.m. Sept. 18; Word 2013 at 9 a.m. Sept. 23; and Computer Basics at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23.
The Shawano City-County Library consists of the main library in Shawano, branches in Birnamwood, Bonduel, Mattoon-Hutchins, Tigerton and Wittenberg, and a countywide delivery service.
