Kayla Rose Garbelman, 26, of Oklahoma, formerly of Shawano, passed away on Aug. 28, 2015, in Oklahoma.
Kayla was born in Shawano on June 13, 1989, to Michael Garbelman and Kathleen (Kempinger) Ward. She loved dogs, horses, writing poetry, coming back to Wisconsin to visit with family, and above all she loved her daughter.
Kayla is survived by her daughter, Addison Rose Garbelman, of Oklahoma; her father, Michael (Amy) Garbelman, of Shawano; her mother, Kathleen Ward, of Oklahoma; her grandfather, Richard (Pat) Garbelman, of Shawano; her grandmother, Sharon Voss, of Shawano; two great-grandmothers, Juanita Garbelman and Evelyn Tishauser, both of Shawano; her stepbrother, Jeremy (Angela) DuQuaine, and her stepsister, Jessica (Tim) Sheldon, of Clintonville; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
