Angeline Sophia Neumeier, 92, of Gresham, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, in Appleton.
Angeline was born in Maple Grove on Oct. 6, 1922, to the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Baranczyk) Lech. On Oct. 12, 1940, Angeline was united in marriage to Lawrence J. Neumeier in Gresham. Together, they raised a family of three boys and two girls. Lawrence preceded her in death on June 30, 1994.
Angeline loved gardening, crocheting, and shopping trips because she got to take a ride on the mini bus. She was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church and the Altar Society, and cooked funeral meals for many years. She especially loved family get-togethers.
Angeline is survived by four children, Frances (Jack) Van Lanen, of Sturgeon Bay, Darla (Bill) Gasser, of Oconto Falls, James (Candy) Neumeier, of Berlin, and Dan (special friend, Kathleen Boss/VeerHusen) Neumeier, of Lodi; nine grandchildren, Laurie (Tom) Olson, Floyd (Linda) Gasser, Sarah (Jake) Nelson, Joe (special friend, Sara) Gasser, Mike (Alisa) Neumeier, Jennifer (special friend, Bart) Neumeier, Becky (friend, Kevin) Jensen, Kirsten (Josh) Levin and Brook Pari; four great-grandchildren, Evan Olson, Sydney Olson, Trevor Levin, Wesley Levin, and one on the way. She is further survived by her sister, Evelyn Galiej, of Elburn, Illinois, as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence Neumeier; son, David Neumeier, as a child; her parents; her brothers and sisters, Lucille Gartman, Helen Aniol, Irene Neumeier, Julie Krystek and Roger Lech.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with the Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
