Carol Kaiser, 72, Oconto Falls, died peacefully Sunday morning, June 23, 2013, at home surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 8, 1940, in Green Bay, to Frederick and Grace (Vanden Elzen) Baake. Carol grew up in rural Pulaski, where she attended Pulaski Public Schools.
On July 19, 1958, she married Gerald “Big Jer” Kaiser at Hofa Park. Following their marriage, the couple owned and operated a dairy farm there until moving to Anderson Lake in 1978 where they also farmed. They moved back to the Oconto Falls area in 1987. Carol enjoyed gardening, sewing, collecting angels and especially dancing, fishing and hunting with her husband. She will be fondly remembered for the dedication she gave her husband, children and grandchildren.
Survivors are her five children, Alan (Laura) Kaiser, Gregory (Lori) Kaiser, Melissa “Missy” (Jeff) Pashek, all of Oconto Falls; Holly (Carl) Montoure, Shawano; Robert “Bobby” (Nikki) Kaiser, Coleman; 11 grandchildren, Bobbi Jo (Jeff) Jelen, Michaela and Samara Kaiser; Sammi Jo (John) Skinner, Brett and Sabrina Branham; Travis (fiancé Kayla) Pashek, Jesse Pashek; Cohl (Sonny) Berendt, Miranda Montoure; Taylor Kaiser; two great-grandchildren, Max Skinner, Niamh Pashek and another three on the way; two very special neighbors, Chris Mayotte and Lori Vomastic; three brothers, Vernon (Lucille) Baake, Florida; Marvin (Dorie) Baake, Crivitz; Ronald (Kathy) Baake, Seymour; one sister-in-law, Suzanne Kaiser, Suamico; her longtime school friend, Sandy Jones, Lena; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald, on Oct. 12, 2010, and three brothers-in-law, Henry Kaiser Jr., Francis (Fern) Kaiser and Robert Kaiser.
Visitation with the urn present will be held after 5 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Bob Groher officiating. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
